New Business

4.                   Dinner Raffle.  A business card from Sizzler in Fullerton will be handed out to the dinner raffle winners instead of $10 cash.  This card will be good for one complimentary salad bar dinner and drink.

Committee Reports

1.                   Stillwell Challenge.  Gary StillwellÕs company of 200 employees had a contributions drive last year which supported three of our charities:  CHIP, H.I.S House and For Kids Sake.  In 13 weeks they raised $6,000!!  This year they will support CHIP, H.I.S. House and a charity of their choice that will benefit a local Hispanic community since 99% of the employees are of Mexican descent.  As a result, Gary challenged the Board of Directors, Marietta Darke and club members to match $.50 to every dollar raised by his employees beginning in April and ends in June.  If they raise $6,000, can we match at least $3,000? Gary challenges each member to donate a minimum of $1 per week for 13 weeks.

StillwellÕs Second Challenge.  Waxers to Racers racing contest in Fontana where there is a 1Ś4 mile strip.  The club can put up money for the trophies and keep score for the best division (C4/C5/older models), and select an overall racing champion.   Something to think about!

2.                   Phone Committee.  Donna Stewart (Chair) and Vicki Kump (Co-Chair) have put together a phone contact list and ask members to keep them apprised of any phone number changes.  Ann Meeuwenberg received feedback from two members who thought it gave a personal touch to be reminded of upcoming club and social events and they liked it.  Keep up the good work Donna, Vicki, Wilma, Roxanne, Janet, Linda S., Linda B., Linda N. and Marietta!
