Corvette Super Sports General Meeting Minutes

Tuesday, October 5, 2004

The meeting was call to order by president Greg Glodery at 7:00 PM after it was determined there was a quorum.

A motion was made by Hal Oberman and seconded by Marietta Darke to accept the minutes as submitted.

There was discussion at the board meeting on how to improve the car show for next year.  One suggestion was to sell raffle tickets in the parking lot and not have one set place to sell tickets.  It was also suggested to help speed up registration to have one line for pre-registration and one for people registering that day.  It was mentioned to start advertising the car show a year in advance.  Another thought was to elect a chairperson and co-chair in January.  The co-chairperson would move into the chair position the following January at which time a new co-chairperson would be chosen.

Revamping the parking was also discussed to allow for more cars.  If the car show continues to grow we will have to find a larger place to hold the show.  Bill Darke is going to start looking for a larger facility.

Hal Oberman and Ilona Alciatore were appointed to head the nominations for officers for next year.

The board voted in three new members into our club they are, Don Iannone, Andrew Ersek, and Judy Flowers.  This brings our membership to 113.  Welcome aboard everyone.

TreasurerÕs report was given and accepted.

Charity:  John Force Holiday Car Show on December 5 will benefit CHiPs For Kids.  Please bring a $10.00 unwrapped toy.

Marietta reported H.I.S. House is still in need of paper goods, baggies, and storage bags.

Ronald Mc Donald House is collecting pull tabs from aluminum cans.  These tabs are recycled and the money is used to help with the housing of the parents whose child is in the hospital receiving treatment for a serious illness.  Danny Simmerman said there was some doubt among some of our members that this actually worked but he said it is a true fact the money goes to Ronald Mc Donald House.  Cindy will be collecting the tabs at the meetings so please save your pull tabs and give them to Cindy.

NCCC: There wasnÕt a report this month due to the fact Ellis had to stay home and fence in his cars to protect them from the critters that were chewing the wiring on the cars.
