MINUTES OF THE CORVETTE SUPER SPORTS GENERAL MEETING

December 7, 2004

The meeting was called to order by President Greg Glodery at 7:10 P.M. after it was determined that there was a quorum.

Greg expressed his appreciation to all officers and board members for their help in keeping our club running in good order this past year.

OLD BUSINESS

The list of people willing to serve as officers for the next year were read. They are:

President - Greg Glodery

Vice-President - Tom Wilcox

Secretary  - Lynn Miller

Treasurer - Ann Meeuwenberg

NCCC - Ellis Chee

Newsletter - Mike Cooper

Webmaster - Bruce Romick

Greg then explained that the position of webmaster needed to be elevated to officer status, and if we kept five board members, then we would have a total of 12 which is not good in the event of a tie. So we will add a sixth board member for a total of 13. The by-laws need to be revised to accommodate this change.

Joe Orrico made a motion which was seconded by Hal Oberman that we elevate the webmaster to officer status and add a six board member. This was unanimously approved.

The officers were unanimously elected.

Greg then asked those members to stand to indicate that they were willing to serve on the board of directors for the next year. The following people stood: Donna Stewart, Shirley Jones, Vicki Kump, Linda Norris, Tom Cuccio and Doug Meeuwenberg. Since there was a total of six, they were unanimously elected.

A ballot was passed out to all those in attendance so they could vote for Most Valuable. This person will be honored at the banquet and presented with a trophy.

Maynard and Ann Wilson were voted in as new members. Our total membership is now 103.

The officers and board of directors voted to disperse our charity funds to these organizations: CHiPS for Kids - $1000.00, $100.00 to the Corvette Museum, and $500.00 to HIS House. Another $500.00 will be split into gift certficates to Mervyn's and given to families decided on by HIS House staff members. That leaves $405.83 for charity for next year.

The CSS Christmas party was again hosted by Dave and Donna Stewart. It was a great party with lots of good food and Christmas cheer. Thanks, Dave and Donna!

As has been our usual practice, we gave our waitresses - Paula and Maria - $100.00 and $50.00 respectively. We appreciate their good services.

Please continue to save pop-tops for the Ronald McDonald House.

There will be no general meeting in January, but the board meeting will be January 18th. Both old and new officers and board members are requested to attend.

The Corvette Super Sports Annual Banquet is January 22.  Members' dinners will cost $32.00 each. Please send your payment to Ann Meeuwenberg at her home before December 31, 2004.

Be sure to attend the February 1st general meeting where we will have a speaker from the Long Beach Grand Prix. He will show a short video, tell us about ticket packages and prices and raffle off some tickets.

The dinner raffle was won by Hazel Beidleman.

Tom Cuccio made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Joe Orrico seconded it. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
